  • If up in leads 1 and AVF then normal axis

Causes of Rightward Axis Deviation
  1. Right ventricular hypertrophy
  2. Pulmonary HTN - Acute (PE) & chronic lung disease (COPD)
  3. Left posterior fascicular block
  4. Lateral MI (from Q-waves in lead I)
  5. Ventricular ectopy (VT)
  6. Hyperkalemia
  7. Lead misplacement
  8. Dextrocardia
  9. Normal thin adults with horizontally positioned hearts​
