Background

Clinical Features

  • Similar to otitis externa, but with more itching than pain
  • Characteristic appearance on exam; like mold growing on spoiled food
  • Malodorous discharge, inflammation, pruritus, scaling, and severe discomfort
    • Greyish white thick debris "wet blotting paper"
