Actively Seizing

  • Protect patient from injury
    • If possible place patient in left lateral position to reduce risk of aspiration
    • Do not place bite block
    • Ensure clear airway after seizure stops
  • Lorazepam 2mg IM or IV (or another benzodiazepine)[1]
