Background

  • Ultrasound with sterile probe cover
  • Syringe with 25-30ga needle
  • Local anesthetic
  • Chlorhexidine or betadine
  • Sterile drape

Procedure

Complications

  • Inadvertent intravascular injection
  • Infection
  • Bleeding/hematoma
