Background
- Axial loading force leads to prolonged swelling of PIP
Diagnosis
- X-ray negative
- A. Volar plate sprain
- No weakness
- Rx: buddy tape
- B. Central slip injury
- mild extensor weakness
- may become Boutonniere
Treatment
- Dorsal Finger Splint in extension
