Background

- Direct meningeal irritation by intrathecal drug
- Hypersensitivity reaction to drug (type III and IV)
Causes
- NSAIDs
- Most common cause

Clinical presentation
- Headache
- Fever
- Nuchal rigidity
- Nausea/vomiting
- General malaise
- Less common symptoms include rash, arthralgia, myalgia, facial edema
