The University of Puerto Rico Emergency Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME accredited program under the ADS 10 year cycle. The University of Puerto Rico Emergency Medicine Residency Program has as primary teaching site the Hospital UPR. At this site residents and students evaluate patients under the supervision of our core and clinical faculty. The medical students are exposed to the use of the electronic medical record and actively participate in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Medical students mainly see patients in the fast track area, but participate in the evaluation and treatment of acute care patients as well. During the rotation, they attend our Academic Activities, Journal Club and have the opportunity to present a topic. | |||
